Van was born on February 20, 1948. He was in Army ROTC while a student at NCSU and trained at Fort Benning, Georgia after graduation. H served in Viet Nam for a short time and returned safely.
Van used to live across the street from us when I was growing up many years ago. When I was 15 we moved into another house and I lost track of Van, but I am sorry to see that he is deceased.
