We are sorry to inform you of the death of Marilyn Dixon Blankenship.  Marilyn lived fully every moment until she was unable to do so because of complications of ALS which took her life on May 5, 2017.  Marilyn wanted families of ALS victims to be eased with funding to help meet the extraordinary costs that all are faced with when dealing with a catastrophic illness.  Her first Soccer Trounament raised over $30,000 towards research, and future dollars will assist specific families dealing with the illness. There will be a celebratory event commemorating her life on June 10 with details of the event to be published at a later date.  In July, there will be a Soccer Tournament in her memory.  

Marilyn D. Blankinship, 68, Raleigh, died 05-05-2017.
