Tricia Grimes, 24, women's page editor for The Raleigh Times, a respected reporter who wrote a column called "This Is Raleigh", a debutante who'd attended Broughton High School, and whose grandfather had been NC Secretary of State was murdered in 1972.  She and a friend had been biking, stopped at Milburnie Dam and were gunned down by someone standing on the bridge.

Tricia will be remembered always for her beautiful smile and sweet personality.  What a tragedy!

This is Patricia's picture in the 1968 St. Mary's (Raleigh) Stagecoach.  Patricia was a wonderful friend, a real beauty, and  deeply spiritual!  She was also very smart and and an independent thinker.  Laura Armstrong remembers her well!

I remember Patricia and what a sweet, genuine person she was.  I was so sad when this tragedy happened, and have not forgotten her.

Patricia was such a beautiful girl with a bright future ahead of her - just a horrible senseless tragedy. Her murder hit us all and I will never forget it. Patricia, you will be remembered!
