I did not know retirement would be so wonderful. I love my life! I am able to do as I please when I please. My life is calm and I am happy and very content. I dote on my cats and love to watch my chickens (don't eat them, just like the fresh eggs) roam around in the back yard. I cannot get over the serenity and peace that is my existence. God has been good to me and I am blessed. Life is wonderful and I wish this kind of happiness for everyone! My life motto that I followed as best I could -- "Just keep smiling and see the humor in all things. Laugh heartily every day".

Most fun playing an Indian on Annie Get Your Gun. Lots of laughs during rehearsals. Then on opening night, one of the lights caught a smaller curtain on fire and smoke was filling the stage and Marty Stillpass, playing the lead, said his line (and while the stage crew was using the small fire extinguisher which caused more smoke) Marty added "lets get this competition completed before the fog rolls in". We all clapped and cheered for him right on the spot. We were, after all, professional actors, hee, hee, hee!
