Curtis Jackson Harkins, 55, died on Friday, December 10, 2004 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital.  A memorial service was held on Monday at Hanes-ineberry Sedgefield Chapel.  Mr. Harkins was born September 28, 1949, son of Woodrow W. and Ida K. Harkins.  He served in the US Marine Corps and in 1970, married Marta Williams.  He was survived by his wife, 2 brothers, Steve and Douglas Harkins, 2 nieces, Katy and Kristy Harkins, and nephew, Nathan Harkins.
