Rachel ran for one of our Superlatives and won.....Best Sense of

Humor which she certainly had.  She was a good friend of mine in high school.  We traveled together later.  Rest In Peace

Rachel was extraordinary in every sense of the word, and yet never took any credit for all her accomplishments. We are all diminished by the loss of her. Even now it is hard to be in a world without her CAN DO energy and caring friendship.

". . . Whenever I would see the brook I'd race it,

And the brook raced, too, and I would run away,

Whenever I saw something that could ring, I rang,

And whenever something sang I played for it.

I made myself at home with everything. . . "

Thank you for remembering our friend, Rachel, Patsy.  Sue, you expressed yourself as beautifully as ever.

Rachel was one of a kind.  She had it all.  She could've won a superlative, "Most Likely to Succeed."  Tragically, mental illness invaded her life in her late teens,  stole her ability to cope and feel joy and eventually made her life too difficult to bear.

Rachel so wanted to make the world a better place...I'd like to believe Rachel's soul - her precious essence - is alive and well. And that her unique integrity and goodwill towards others will continue inspiring us.

We miss and love you, Rachel.
